SALISBURY ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY TO FILL OUT CENSUS FORM

SALISBURY ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY TO FILL OUT CENSUS FORM

Salisbury Mayor James Ireton, Jr., encourages everyone to fill out their census forms.

An accurate count is so important for the state of Maryland. An undercount of 100,000 people translates to a loss of $1 billion dollars in federal revenue over the next decade. “We need to make sure all residents of the Eastern Shore are counted in this decennial Census!”

Or taxpayer savings of 1 billion over the next decade.

Depends how you look at it.

Townie, there won't be any savings. The money will just go to another district.

In my box Tuesday and mailed back on Wednesday. I feel the same way about the census as I do voting. If you don't cast a vote, you have no voice, if you don't respond to the census, you will not be counted. If you're not counted, as far as the government is concerned, YOU DO NOT EXSIST!!!
